I'm watching you!-6120-Edit
On the last ride through the mountains before departing the Sundance Resort in Utah, I stopped to photograph the beautiful bed of ferns that line the forest floor. Suddenly the ferns began to rustle with movement, first an ear, then this beautiful face poked up and began to watch me. Not sure how he knew, I sure didn't know he was there.

Perched-5544
I first found him atop this solitary pine, towering above the other trees. Undisturbed by our attempts to make him take flight, he eventually moved to another pine, not far away. Watching quietly from there, he flew again and it was then I realized he was not hunting, but guarding his mate.

"In The Still of the Night"
Against The Wind Images' photostream on Flickr.
A Venetian Canal somewhere around 1:00 in the morning. One of my first images taken with my Canon 40 D during a trip to Europe and still one of my favorites. The Van Gogh like colors are spectacular, this in fact may be the first image taken with this camera using only available light.
